A resident of Gboko in Benue State, Amaa Nicholas Terhide, has publicly appealed for help in locating his young daughter, Mesuur, whom he alleges was taken by his sister, Doose, following a family disagreement.
According to the father’s account, the incident stemmed from a dispute between his wife and his sister. He intervened in an attempt to resolve the matter peacefully, but shortly after what appeared to be a settlement, Doose reportedly left with the child without permission or consent.
In the days that followed, Amaa Nicholas claims he received threatening text messages from his sister, in which she allegedly stated she intended to use the girl for ritual purposes. The family reports being deeply distressed by these messages and the ongoing absence of the child, expressing grave fears for her safety and well-being.
Adding to the concerns, Doose does not reside with the family and is ordinarily based in Lagos. This has raised worries that the young girl may have been taken out of Benue State entirely.
During the escalating situation, the wife reportedly shared observations of troubling behavior from the sister, including allegations of drug use.
