BIPC Board Tours State-Owned Enterprises, Food Basket Brewery Set for Production in 20 Days

The Board of the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC), chaired by Chief Mrs. Elizabeth Shuluwa, conducted an extensive inspection tour on Tuesday of key state-owned enterprises, including the Food Basket Brewery, Benfruits and Benval Juice Factories, BIP Water Company, and Polythene Printing Press plant. The visit aimed to assess operational progress and reinforce the government’s industrialization agenda.

Expressing satisfaction with the pace of rehabilitation works, Chief Shuluwa highlighted the board’s dedication to transparency, efficient management, and long-term sustainability. She underscored that revitalizing the juice factories and completing construction of the brewery and other processing plants would create jobs, expand manufacturing capacity, and significantly boost internally generated revenue for the state.

Group Managing Director of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha-CFA, announced that the Food Basket Brewery is on track to commence test-run production within the next 20 days. He described the facility as a cornerstone of the administration’s industrialization drive, confirming that machinery repairs, utility connections, and quality assurance systems are nearing completion. “Benue people will soon enjoy products proudly made in their state,” Dr. Asemakaha affirmed.

The inspection team also reviewed operations at the Benfruits and Benval Juice Factories and the BIP Bottled Water plant, receiving detailed briefings on production status, raw material sourcing, and distribution strategies. Board members stressed the importance of adhering to best commercial and operational standards across all facilities.
