A desperate plea for assistance has emerged from a traveler identified as Real-Emmiwuks, who is currently stranded near the border of Guinea-Bissau. In a heartfelt post shared earlier today, the individual urgently requests help in connecting with someone from UBA Bank in Nigeria, preferably in Benue or any branch across the country.
According to the post, Real-Emmiwuks has been unable to access funds since yesterday, despite attempting to reach UBA’s customer care. The traveler reported spending ₦30,000 worth of airtime in a failed effort to resolve the issue, leaving them in a dire situation. “I’m currently stranded and about to cross into Guinea Bissau, another country. Since yesterday, I haven’t been able to withdraw any money,” they wrote, adding that they couldn’t even afford water until a kind stranger assisted them last night.
The journey has taken a toll, with the road ahead described as long, rough, and far from any major town. Real-Emmiwuks expressed gratitude for the kindness they’ve received and remains hopeful that someone with a UBA contact or influence can step forward. “I’ll deeply appreciate it,” they added, appealing to the goodwill of others.
This incident highlights the challenges faced by travelers in remote areas and the critical role of accessible banking support. As of now, no official response from UBA Bank has been reported. The traveler’s post has garnered attention, with many expressing sympathy and urging assistance.
Anyone with connections to UBA Bank or able to offer support is encouraged to reach out. Real-Emmiwuks’ story is a reminder of the power of community in times of need. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
