A Makurdi-based man, Mr. Orva Stephen Agbe, has filed a formal complaint with the Benue State Police Command, alleging a series of grave offenses by members of the Iyorytom family and two others. In a petition dated October 10, 2025, and received by the Commissioner of Police’s office on October 13, 2025, Agbe accuses the involved parties of adultery, conspiracy, attempted kidnap of minors, threats to life, and obtaining money under false pretenses.

According to the petition, Agbe claims that on October 7, 2025, members of the Iyorytom family, including Loveth, Ashi, Kwaghdoo, and Saamnoiyol, allegedly invaded his family home in Makurdi during his absence. The intruders reportedly frightened his mother and forcibly took valuable items. The situation escalated into a confrontation after the suspects allegedly called in thugs to harass his relatives.

Agbe further alleges that the same group later attempted to kidnap his twin sons from Crystaland Schools, Makurdi, using a white Toyota Hilux. He credits the intervention of family members and school management for thwarting the attempt. The petitioner expressed that these actions have left him and his children feeling unsafe in Makurdi.

He also seeks the return of expensive mobile devices, valued at ₦4.2 million, which he alleges are in his wife’s possession, attributing the loss to her actions.

The petition names additional individuals—Ayila Iyorytom, Ngueumo Iyorytom, Kwaghdoo Chihintor, Loveth Orva, Saanmoyiol Iyorytom, Sughnen Iyorytom, Ashi Iyorytom, Sefa Awen, and David Awen—as parties involved in what he describes as a coordinated act of conspiracy and intimidation.
