Two children from North Bank in Makurdi have been reported missing, prompting an appeal for public assistance.
According to a social media post by Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya, the missing children are Iveren Terhide, a 14-year-old girl seen in a red headwrap in an accompanying photograph, and Avadoo Kajo, an 8-year-old. Both are residents of North Bank, Makurdi, and were last seen around 4pm the previous day.
While searching for the children, a POS operator near their home reportedly told the family that Iveren had approached her stand requesting ₦14,000. The operator said she gave the girl ₦4,500 instead, explaining that the children were often sent to collect money on credit in that manner before later settlement.
Anyone with useful information is urged to contact the poster privately or report the matter to the nearest police station.
