Two Children Reported Missing in North Bank, Makurdi

Two children from North Bank in Makurdi have been reported missing, prompting an appeal for public assistance.

According to a social media post by Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya, the missing children are Iveren Terhide, a 14-year-old girl seen in a red headwrap in an accompanying photograph, and Avadoo Kajo, an 8-year-old. Both are residents of North Bank, Makurdi, and were last seen around 4pm the previous day.

While searching for the children, a POS operator near their home reportedly told the family that Iveren had approached her stand requesting ₦14,000. The operator said she gave the girl ₦4,500 instead, explaining that the children were often sent to collect money on credit in that manner before later settlement.
