Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia will begin a five-day statewide Thank-You Tour today, Monday, August 24, 2026, covering all 11 federal constituencies in Benue State.
The APC Benue State Chapter announced the tour as a way for the governor to personally appreciate APC members, stakeholders, traditional rulers, party elders and citizens for their support. The tour is also aimed at strengthening the relationship between the government, the APC and the people of Benue.
The party has called on appointees, executives and members to turn out in large numbers to give the governor a warm and orderly welcome. Traditional rulers and political leaders are also expected to attend.
The tour schedule is as follows: Day 1 (August 24) covers Sankera–Katsina-Ala, Kwande–Adikpo and Jechira–Vandeikya; Day 2 (August 25) takes in Buruku and Gboko; Day 3 (August 26) features Gwer and Makurdi; Day 4 (August 27) includes Oju/Obi and Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo–Otukpo; while Day 5 (August 28) covers Apa/Agatu and Otukpo/Ohimini.
The tour is expected to draw massive crowds and serve as both appreciation and grassroots mobilisation for the Alia administration.
