At Least 9 Killed, 8 Injured in Coordinated Attacks on Three Villages in Benue State, Nigeria

At least nine people have been killed and eight others injured in separate attacks on villages in Benue State, Nigeria, according to local sources. The incidents, which occurred in the last 24 hours, have sparked urgent calls for security intervention as the region grapples with recurring violence.

The violence erupted in Abaojio Village, where seven men were killed, including James Utser, Iorwa Mwu ese, Timothy Ihom, Lahaga Ihom, Ayoli Shaakaa, Terkuma Iorember, and Iorum bur Agav. Aondok imbi Tyover survived the assault but was among those wounded. In addition, nine residents were injured: Hamza Aboajio, M batenen Shaakaa, M nyimanga Shaakaa, Terna Tyo, Agwei Usaaya, and Orhembaga Ungwaga.

A separate attack hit **Ayaba Village**, where two people were wounded: Asaaga Bombo and Sesugh Mshie.

The third village, **Yawe Village**, saw the injury of one resident, Azashachia Kamoga.
