The Executive Chairman of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, has been honoured with the Appointee Performance Award at the International Youth Day Celebration held at IBB Square, Makurdi.
The award, presented on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, recognises her exemplary performance as an appointee under the administration of Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and her contributions to the transformation of basic education in the state.
It was received on her behalf by the Board Secretary, Dr. Joseph Jande, alongside other members of the Board’s management and staff.
Under her leadership, and with the support of the Governor, SUBEB has driven reforms including school infrastructure development, the recruitment of 9,700 teachers, digitalisation of the payroll system, continuous teacher capacity development, improved staff welfare, and the provision of a ₦150 million school grant, among other interventions.
