The Benue State APC Chairman, Benjamin Omale, has stated that Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration has spent more than ₦100 billion on infrastructure and other development projects in Benue South (Zone C).
Omale made the disclosure while representing the governor at the 1st Annual Convention of the Idoma Community in London, United Kingdom. According to him, three major road projects alone carry a combined contract value of about ₦74.86 billion. These are the Oju–Awajir Road, valued at ₦25.59 billion; the Igumale–Agila Road, valued at ₦19.37 billion; and the Obagaji–Okokolo–Agagbe Road, valued at ₦29.89 billion.
He also listed the construction and renovation of 25 primary healthcare centres across Ohimini, Otukpo, Okpokwu, Obi and Oju local government areas, alongside interventions in 29 schools across the zone. Omale added that the administration has committed hundreds of billions of naira to infrastructure in Benue North-East and North-West, describing the projects as evidence of the governor’s commitment to balanced development across the state.
He further appealed to the Idoma people at home and in the diaspora to support Governor Alia’s 2027 re-election bid, arguing that continuity would enable the administration to consolidate and expand its achievements.
