Ukum LG Boss Hon. Jonathan Modi Mourns Fallen Security Officers, Condemns Katsina-Ala Ambush

The Chairman of Ukum Local Government Area, Hon. Jonathan Modi, has expressed deep condolences to the Nigerian Police Force, Civil Protection Guards, and Nigerian Hunters Council following the tragic ambush of officers at Mbatyula, Agu Centre, Katsina-Ala. The attack, which took place on Friday, has left several wounded, three confirmed dead, and about 13 officers still missing, including ASP Danlami Usman, popularly known as “Dan Zuru,” the outfit’s Bush Commander.

The assault, allegedly carried out by suspected herders and their militia allies against Operation Nyan Nyor, resulted in significant casualties. Hon. Modi confirmed the recovery of three bodies, with reports indicating ongoing efforts to locate the missing personnel. The attack has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the escalating security challenges in the region.
