Governor Hyacinth Alia Orders Comprehensive Assessment of Makurdi-Naka Road Ahead of Reconstruction

The Benue State Government has taken a major step toward rehabilitating the dilapidated Makurdi-Naka Road, with Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia directing a team of engineers and surveyors from China Harbour Engineering Company Limited (CHEC), led by Engr. Ronaldo Lee, to conduct a detailed assessment of the road corridor.

The exercise, being carried out in collaboration with the Benue State Ministry of Works, Housing and Urban Development, signals the commencement of rehabilitation works on this strategic route. The road, which has been in poor condition for years, is expected to significantly improve connectivity, ease the movement of people and goods, and boost socio-economic activities, especially in Gwer West Local Government Area.
