A fresh crisis has erupted within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State as Joseph Waya has dragged former House of Representatives member Herman Hembe to court over the controversial party primary.
Before approaching the court, Waya and another governorship aspirant, Peter Adejoh, had separately petitioned the national leadership of the ADC, raising serious concerns about the conduct of the primary election and demanding a review of the outcome.
The development has further deepened the rift within the party in Benue State, with the legal action signaling escalating tensions following the disputed primary process.
The full details of the petition and court action are expected to generate more reactions within Benue’s political circles as stakeholders await the court’s intervention in the ADC governorship primary controversy.
