Christian Community Holds One-Year Yelewata Massacre Memorial Mass

On June 13, 2026, residents of Yelewata gathered for a solemn memorial Mass to mark exactly one year since the Yelewata Genocide that claimed numerous lives in the area.

The Christian community converged at the Yelewata Genocide Memorial Monument to honour the victims of the tragic incident. The event served as a moment of remembrance, reflection, and prayer for those who lost their lives in the attack.
