The Executive Chairman of Agatu Local Government Area in Benue State and Benue Deputy ALGON Chairman, Hon. Amb. James Melvin Ejeh, has praised Operation Whirl Stroke for its generous donation of 2,000 copies of 60-page exercise books to pupils of LGEA Primary School in Obagaji, the headquarters of the local government.
Ejeh described the gesture as a tangible demonstration of Operation Whirl Stroke’s commitment to education, the restoration of hope, and the strengthening of civil-military relations within the council area. He expressed deep appreciation to the security personnel deployed across Agatu for their tireless efforts in restoring peace, which has now enabled residents to engage in farming activities without fear.
“The safety of our citizens remains the top priority of this administration,” Ejeh affirmed, reiterating his dedication to creating a secure environment that enables displaced persons to return home and their children to resume schooling.
“The provision of these learning materials is a clear reminder that education is the foundation for a better future and improved living standards,” the Chairman added. “When our children are equipped with the tools they need, we lay the groundwork for lasting development and prosperity.”
The book distribution, coordinated by Major Shehu Magaji, marks a significant step in the council’s ongoing collaboration with security agencies to promote both security and educational advancement in Agatu.
The statement was issued by Amb. Obochi Solomon, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of Agatu Local Government, on December 18, 2025.
