PDP Affirms Thomas Tyolumun Unongo as Benue North-East Senatorial Candidate for 2027

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially affirmed Hon. Thomas Tyolumun Unongo as its senatorial flagbearer for the Benue North-East (Zone A) Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation took place during a zonal primary exercise in Katsina-Ala, attended by party stakeholders, delegates, and leaders from across the seven local government areas in the zone.

In his acceptance speech, Unongo expressed deep gratitude to the PDP leadership and members for the confidence reposed in him. He paid glowing tributes to his late father, elder statesman Wantaregh Paul Unongo, for his contributions to the development of Sankera and Benue State, and also appreciated his mother and grandmother who were present at the event.

Unongo pledged to work towards restoring peace and promoting development across Sankera and the entire Benue North-East Senatorial District if elected. He assured the people of quality and people-oriented representation at the Senate.

The event received strong support from the PDP Consensus Governorship Candidate, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa (SAN), and other party leaders who pledged their commitment to the success of Unongo and the entire PDP ticket in 2027.
