Benue ALGON Chairmen Pay Last Respects to Three APC Ward Youth Leaders Killed in Motor Accident

Local Government Chairmen under the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Benue State Chapter, on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to Ogbadibo LGA to mourn three All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Youth Leaders who died in a tragic motor accident.

The delegation, led by the Deputy ALGON Chairman and Chairman of Agatu Local Government Council, Hon. Amb. James Melvin Ejeh, who represented the ALGON Chairman, Hon. Terhile Neji, was joined by the Benue State APC Chairman, Barr. Benjamin Omale, government officials, party faithful and sympathisers at the Ogbadibo Council Secretariat for the funeral rites.

The deceased Hon. Enemari Ogbe of Ai-Oono III Ward, Hon. Anawo Benjamin Akor of Orokam III Ward, and Hon. Abraham Enenche of Olachagbaha Ward, lost their lives while travelling to attend a party zonal congress in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Speaking on behalf of the ALGON Chairman, Hon. Ejeh described the deaths as a painful and irreparable loss to the APC family and the state at large. He noted that the young leaders were committed grassroots mobilisers whose contributions to the party’s growth would remain a lasting legacy.

“On behalf of the Local Government Chairmen of Benue State, we extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased, the APC family, and the people of Ogbadibo,” he said.

Hon. Ejeh assured that ALGON would continue to collaborate with party structures in Ogbadibo to support the bereaved families. He also commended Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for demonstrating solidarity through the presence of the State APC Chairman.

In a show of compassion, the ALGON Forum provided substantial assistance to the families of the deceased to help ease the burden of their loss.

The condolence visit highlighted the spirit of unity and political solidarity within the APC and among local government leaders in Benue State.
