Naka Town’s Historic Water Reticulation Project Opens as Pipe-Laying Begins Across 21 Locations in Gwer West

In a significant boost to public infrastructure, the Executive Chairman of Gwer West Local Government Area, Ormin Torsar Victor, has officially declared open the historic Water Reticulation Project in Naka Town, the headquarters of the local government.

The project, which forms part of the greater Naka water projects commissioned by Benue State Governor, His Excellency Hyacinth Iormem Alia, marks the beginning of pipe-laying works across 21 strategic locations in the area. According to the chairman, the initiative is a bold and deliberate step aimed at delivering clean, safe, and reliable water directly to residents, tackling long-standing water scarcity and significantly improving public health and overall quality of life.

Describing the project as more than just infrastructure, Ormin Torsar Victor said it reflects the administration’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the health, dignity, and daily lives of every resident in Gwer West. He further described access to clean water as a fundamental right rather than a privilege, pledging that his administration will continue working tirelessly to ensure every household in Naka Town and beyond benefits from the transformative initiative.
