The Benue State Government has signed a landmark strategic Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with Kaorheem Energy Services Limited (Hudson Global) in collaboration with Taicorpp Capital Partners to mobilise global capital for large-scale transformative investments across key sectors.

Announced on Saturday, February 27, 2027, the partnership is projected to generate more than 10,000 direct and indirect job opportunities once fully operational. It focuses on education and innovation, agro-industrial processing, infrastructure development, enterprise growth, and inclusive wealth creation, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence as a core driver.

The initiative aims to transition Benue from a predominantly agrarian economy into an industrialised powerhouse by converting the state’s abundant raw agricultural produce—yams, soya beans, cassava, maize, tomatoes, and others—into high-value finished products. This includes yam flour for local consumption and export, tomato paste to reduce post-harvest losses, and refined soya bean products, all while leveraging AI-powered cutting-edge technology to optimise production, processing, and market access.

Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s administration emphasised that sustainable industrialisation must be research-driven. The partnership aligns closely with the ongoing establishment of the Benue State University of Agriculture, Science, and Technology in Ihugh, which will serve as a bridge between academic research and practical industrial application, activating the full agricultural value chain.

The collaboration is expected to position Benue as the Agricultural Hub of Africa, addressing national food insecurity by transforming raw abundance into processed goods for both domestic and international markets. It also supports broader goals of economic diversification, youth employment, and poverty reduction through inclusive growth.
