Supporters of Hon. Iveren Ukula, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) senatorial aspirant for Benue North-West, have intensified calls for voters to prioritize competence, credibility, and character over gender considerations as political discussions build momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement credited to B.M. Shikya, advocates of the aspirant emphasized that leadership conversations in the district should center on the ability of candidates to deliver effective representation at the National Assembly rather than demographic factors.
