Former Benue State Governor, Senator Samuel Ortom, has welcomed the immediate past Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The high-profile defection, which has been described as a major political gain for the PDP in Benue State, was publicly acknowledged during a reception event on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
Chief Aondoakaa, a prominent legal luminary and influential figure in Benue politics, resigned from the APC on March 28, 2026, citing prevailing circumstances and the need to pursue broader democratic values in the interest of his people.
Senator Ortom, alongside other PDP leaders, rolled out the red carpet for the former minister, hailing his wealth of experience and commitment to public service.
