Nigerian Shippers’ Council Dismisses Viral “Dream Telephone Conversation” as Satirical Fiction

The office of Dr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima, MON, Ph.D., Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, has issued a strong disclaimer regarding a purported “Dream Telephone Conversation” circulating on social media.

In a statement responding to a publication by legal practitioner Mr. Ibin Madaki, the Council described the content as entirely fictitious, imaginative, and satirical in nature. It clarified that the narrative does not reflect any factual occurrence or represent the views, utterances, position, or official communication of Dr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima or any other individuals mentioned.

The statement emphasized that Dr. Ukeyima remains a distinguished public servant and accomplished legal luminary whose contributions to institutional governance, public sector reform, and national development continue to earn him widespread respect.

It further warned that such fabricated narratives, ostensibly intended to malign or impugn the integrity and reputation of the ES/CEO, should be disregarded as they constitute needless distractions from the Council’s statutory mandate and ongoing achievements.

The disclaimer was signed by PAG27 Sure Amplifiers, Amenger Fanen, and 13 others.

This development comes amid growing concerns over the spread of misleading and satirical content on social media platforms targeting public officials.
