He’s pedaled more than 10,000 kilometers across West Africa on a single bicycle, but on Day 122 of his epic journey, Nigerian adventurer Real-Emmiwuks found something stronger than muscle power: the pure, unfiltered faith of orphaned children in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.
As Emmiwuks prepared to roll out of Bissau—the latest milestone in his audacious ride from Nigeria to the United States—the unexpected happened. A group of children from a local orphanage gathered around him, placed their tiny hands on his arms and bike, and prayed aloud for his safety.
“They didn’t have much, yet they gave me something priceless: pure love, innocent faith, and genuine blessings,” he wrote in a viral social media post that has already touched thousands.
In a world often numbed by routine, the scene was profound. These children—many with little more than hope—wished him safe passage to the next border. For Emmiwuks, it wasn’t just a send-off; it was a spiritual recharge.
“As they wished me a safe trip to the next country, I felt something deeper than words—the kind of peace that only comes from a child’s prayer.”
Emmiwuks has faced scorching heat, broken spokes, language barriers, and endless roads. But he insists the true engine of his journey isn’t endurance—it’s the hearts he meets along the way.
“I may be the one riding across nations, but moments like this remind me that the real strength of this journey comes from the hearts I meet along the way.”
From village elders in Ghana to street vendors in Senegal, each encounter adds meaning to his mission: to prove that with determination, a Nigerian dream can cross continents—literally.
As he pedaled out of the capital, Emmiwuks left with more than memories—he carried the love of Bissau forward.
“Thank you, Bissau.
Your love travels with me. 🌍
The Journey continues to…??”
His next destination remains a tease, but one thing is clear: wherever the road leads, Emmiwuks rides not alone.
