NCDC Chairman Pays Homage to Former Benue Military Governor Atom Kpera

The Chairman of the Governing Board of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cosmas Akighir, has paid a courtesy visit to former Military Governor of Benue State, Brigadier General Atom Kpera (rtd.), at his residence in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. Dr. Akighir, who visited the former military governor on Monday, engaged him in discussions on issues concerning the development of Benue State and the broader North Central region.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the NCDC Chairman to pay homage to the elder statesman and draw from his experience and knowledge of the region’s history and development. Brigadier General Atom Kpera, who served as Military Governor of Benue State from January 1984 to August 1985 during the military administration of Major General Muhammadu Buhari, received Akighir with gratitude.

Dr. Akighir has continued to engage with senior citizens and experienced leaders as part of efforts to gain insights that could contribute to the development of the North Central region.
