Minors Rescued from Alleged Prostitution at Makurdi Hotel

In a disturbing incident reported from Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, three underage girls aged 14, 14, and 15 were allegedly found camped at the Sodom and Gomorrah Hotel in the High Level area for purposes of prostitution.

According to a social media post by Zego’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya, Benue State Youth Leader Hon. Gbenda Terver apprehended the minors this evening and promptly handed them over, along with the suspects, to the Gender Unit of the Benue State Police Command in Makurdi for necessary legal action and follow-up.

The post highlighted the intervention as part of ongoing efforts to address child exploitation and protect vulnerable young people in the state. Photos accompanying the report show the minors with their faces blurred for privacy, alongside images of individuals believed to be involved in the case.
