Hon. Philip Agbese, the representative for the Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, has unveiled the Enone Peace and Unity Tournament (Enone Ward Cup) for the 2025/2026 season, a ₦10 million sports initiative aimed at promoting peace, unity, and youth development in the region.
The tournament was officially launched during a press conference in Otukpa, with the event set to kick off on December 20, 2025. The opening day will feature the Asiwaju Tinubu Male and Remi Tinubu Female novelty matches. Teams from 35 wards will compete from January to April 2026, culminating in a grand finale in Okpoga.
The top prize is a Toyota Hiace Bus and ₦5 million, awarded to the overall winner. Runners-up and standout players will share the remaining rewards, ensuring broad recognition and incentives across the competition.
According to LOC Chair, Chief Akor Ikwuoche, the tournament transcends football, serving as a movement for peace, unity, and talent discovery. He emphasized the event’s potential to unite and empower Enone youths, urging community leaders and sports enthusiasts to support Hon. Agbese’s vision.
