The Executive Chairman of Guma Local Government Council, Hon. Maurice Orwough, has conducted an on-the-spot assessment of key ongoing projects across the local government area to monitor progress and ensure timely delivery. The inspection tour focused on critical infrastructure developments aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing the living conditions of residents.
Projects visited during the exercise included the reconstruction of the collapsed Gbajimba Road Bridge and the ongoing construction of the Guma Personnel Department Block Building at the Guma Local Government Secretariat in Gbajimba. The Chairman expressed satisfaction with the level of work observed and reiterated his administration’s commitment to completing these initiatives.
Hon. Orwough assured residents that the projects would be completed and put to use for the benefit of the council and the entire local government. He emphasized that providing functional infrastructure remains a top priority, as it will significantly boost administrative efficiency and ease movement within the area, particularly with the bridge reconstruction expected to restore vital connectivity.
The move demonstrates the current leadership’s hands-on approach to governance at the grassroots level in Guma LGA. Many residents have welcomed the inspection as a sign of accountability and dedication to delivering on campaign promises related to infrastructure development.
Further updates on completion timelines for the projects are expected from the local government authorities in the coming weeks.
