Hon. Engr. Felix Anwuna, a prominent political figure and former Majority Leader of the Makurdi Local Government Legislative Council, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to three newly appointed leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State. The trio—Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga, Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, and Hon. Ashirga Roy—have been recognized for their significant roles as party leaders and key supporters of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration.
Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga, Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, Chief Medical Director of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), and Hon. Ashirga Roy, former caretaker chairman of Tarka Local Government, have been appointed as APC Party Leaders and Governor Alia’s point men in Makurdi, Guma, and Tarka Local Government Areas, respectively. These appointments, effective as of today, underscore the party’s strategic vision for the region.
In a statement, Hon. Anwuna described the appointments as both strategic and inspiring, reflecting the APC’s commitment to entrusting leadership roles to individuals of proven integrity, loyalty, and capacity. He highlighted the trio’s outstanding antecedents in service delivery, grassroots mobilization, and unwavering support for the Alia-led administration, making them fitting choices for pivotal roles within the party structure.
Anwuna emphasized that the elevation of Dr. Hwande, Rt. Hon. Emberga, and Hon. Ashirga is a clear demonstration of the party’s recognition of excellence and reward for consistency. He expressed confidence that their collective experience and dedication will strengthen the APC’s grassroots base and consolidate its dominance across Benue State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The political leader lauded Governor Hyacinth Alia for his visionary leadership and for fostering a political atmosphere where merit, competence, and loyalty are duly acknowledged and rewarded.
