Haakyav Tombu Peter, once a prominent and outspoken Facebook personality in Benue State who frequently condemned young people working as political media aides or online defenders of politicians, has reportedly taken up exactly that role himself.

According to a widely circulated post by Facebook user Msuega Terna on February 21, 2026, Peter—previously known for branding such youths as “sellouts,” “stomach journalists,” and enemies of integrity—has now become a paid political media aide, allegedly working for “anyone willing to pay” and particularly targeting government appointees under the Alia administration.

Terna described Peter’s transformation as a “life of hypocrisy,” recalling how he used to insult and label online political promoters while simultaneously claiming to be “the richest entrepreneur in Benue State” through his now-dropped title of CEO of “HarryPee Logistics.” Those who challenged his narrative or refused to align with his views were routinely attacked and branded derogatorily.

The post claims that Peter now aggressively pursues publicity contracts from appointees, and when refused, resorts to insults and publicly labels them “enemies” of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration. Interestingly, he no longer uses the “CEO” title that once featured prominently in his online persona.

The development has sparked reactions across Benue’s online community, with many pointing to the irony of Peter’s career shift from fierce critic to paid political communicator. Observers note that the incident reflects a broader pattern in which public personas sometimes evolve—or contradict—themselves when personal or financial incentives change.

Peter has not publicly responded to the claims at the time of this report.
