Gbishe Market in Katsina-Ala Reopens for Normal Business Activities

The Katsina-Ala Local Government Council has officially reopened Gbishe Market for normal commercial activities. The decision follows an earlier closure and a crucial meeting convened by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Shaku Justine, with critical stakeholders at his official residence.

The Executive Chairman assured the public that business can now resume peacefully while issuing a strong warning that the Benue State Government and the local council will continue to closely monitor activities in and around the market. He urged traders, transporters, market officials, and visitors to remain law-abiding, maintain peace, uphold sanitation, and cooperate with security agencies and market authorities.

The meeting was attended by several dignitaries including Hon. Terngu Christopher, Hon. Tswam Justine, Elder Ernyi Agudu, and other key officials and special assistants. The council appreciated the cooperation of the people during the closure period and called for sustained peace, order, and economic growth in the market.
