FUHSO Management Assures Staff and Students of Adequate Security Amid Otukpo Crisis

The Management of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), has reassured staff and students of the safety of their lives and property following the volatile security situation in the Otukpo metropolis.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francis Aba Uba, urged members of the university community to remain calm and continue with their lawful activities. He assured them that adequate security measures have been put in place to forestall any breach of peace.

Prof. Uba emphasized that the safety and welfare of students and staff remain the university’s utmost priority. The Chief Security Officer, Mr. Michael Anebi, disclosed that additional security personnel have been deployed to strengthen security across the campuses.

The management recalled that a security advisory was earlier issued on July 1, 2026, underscoring its proactive commitment to safeguarding lives and property. Staff and students were encouraged to remain security conscious, go about their legitimate activities without fear, and report any suspicious movements to the appropriate authorities.
