Hon. Asortar James Asortar, Special Assistant to Benue State Governor on Social Media, has announced the commencement of construction work on the proposed Government Secondary School, Gov Alia College Mbagishi, located in Mbaduku, Vandeikya Local Government Area (temporal site).
The new school will feature seven classrooms, a staff room, a Principal’s office, and a Cashier’s office. Upon completion, it will be dedicated to Hon. Prince Ternenge Moses in recognition of his unwavering love, support, and dedication to the people of Mbaduku. The institution is set to become the first government secondary school in Nyumagbagh council ward, marking a major milestone in expanding educational access for the community.
Community leaders and residents have expressed optimism about the project’s potential to transform learning opportunities for local children. They eagerly await formal approval and continued support from Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia to ensure timely completion.
In a related note, Comr. Asortar extended heartfelt gratitude to Governor Alia for recently facilitating the construction of a primary health facility and a milling center with a warehouse in his village, describing the developments as unprecedented and a new chapter of progress for the area.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts by the Alia administration to prioritize education and basic infrastructure in rural communities across Benue State.
