Blame Game Erupts in Benue as Tarkighir Ally and Governor’s Aide Clash Over Empowerment Program

A fierce political showdown has erupted in Benue State, pitting a loyalist of Makurdi/Guma federal lawmaker Hon. Dickson Tarkighir against Krayzeetee Atu Terver, the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Youth Mobilization.

The conflict ignited on November 16, 2025, when Sir Ben Ten, a staunch Tarkighir supporter, publicly accused Krayzeetee of hypocrisy—claiming the governor’s aide pretends to champion youth development while allegedly spreading false narratives about the lawmaker. According to Sir Ben, Krayzeetee was among the first to circulate misinformation targeting Rt. Hon. Tarkighir during a recent controversy.

At the heart of the dispute is Tarkighir’s constituency empowerment program, which began yesterday and wrapped up today. What should have been a routine distribution of support to constituents turned chaotic when the original venue was canceled due to ongoing construction work. Organizers scrambled to adjust plans, but the disruption opened the door to political mudslinging and heated counter-accusations on social media.
