Described as a deliberate effort to redirect the state’s economy, this initiative urges Benue youths to embrace practical skills for self-reliance over sole reliance on academic qualifications. The brewery and fruit juice factory are projected to create over 4,000 direct and indirect jobs, boosting employment and economic opportunities across the state.

The Benue State House of Assembly has endorsed BIPC’s initiatives, highlighting a united front in pushing for industrialization, job creation, and improved livelihoods. The call for re-capitalization of BIPC was made by the House Committee on Rules and Business during an oversight visit to the BIPC Brewery, Benfruits, and Benval Juice Factories at the Industrial Layout in Makurdi. Committee Chairman, Hon. Thomas Dugeri, commended Governor Alia for prioritizing industrial development and appointing Dr. Raymond Asemakaha as Group Managing Director, calling it a “wise decision.”
