The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, Sir Tersoo Kula, has urged the people of North Central Nigeria to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during an appearance on TVC News on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Kula framed the re-election as a critical step for maintaining the momentum of the President’s “Renewed Hope” agenda. He argued that the ongoing national economic reforms are central to ensuring long-term prosperity, a vision he said is shared across the North Central region.
The call comes on the heels of the North Central All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus officially endorsing Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the upcoming polls.
During the interview, Kula also spoke on local governance, crediting the surge in development across Benue State to a synergy between the state administration and the federal government. He explained that Governor Hyacinth Alia’s development strategy, which focuses on agricultural revitalization, educational reform, and healthcare restructuring, has been bolstered by the national economic policies implemented under President Tinubu. These policies, he said, have helped drive GDP growth and increased federal resource allocations to states.
Kula highlighted the Alia administration’s aggressive industrialization drive as key proof of effective governance. He pointed to the successful revival of moribund state assets, including the Benue Brewery, the Bensono Orange Juice Company, and the Taraku Mills, alongside new initiatives launched by the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), such as the production of bread, nails, and steel. According to him, these tangible achievements are the direct result of the Governor’s prudent management of the state’s financial resources.
Beyond industrialization, he spotlighted the administration’s infrastructure and human capital efforts, citing ongoing urban renewal projects and a statewide road construction initiative that has delivered three new township roads in each of the 23 Local Government Areas as evidence of the Governor’s commitment to grassroots development.
Concluding the broadcast, Kula praised the Governor’s focus on the welfare of the state’s workforce and pensioners. He reiterated his call for voters in Benue State and the wider North Central zone to cast their ballots for the re-election of both Governor Alia and President Tinubu in 2027, characterizing the ticket as the surest path to sustained regional and national growth.
