Benue-born broadcaster Brenda Seember Shima has been appointed as the new Media Manager of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, bringing her experience in sports broadcasting and journalism to the national women’s football team.
Brenda is a sports broadcaster with TVC, having previously worked with Ray Power FM and AIT, where she was part of the team behind the popular Kakaki programme. She is also known for her strong interest and focus on women’s football.
As Media Manager, Brenda will be responsible for coordinating the Super Falcons’ media activities and ensuring effective communication between the team, journalists, fans and the wider public. Her duties will include organising and coordinating press conferences, interviews and media sessions, managing the team’s media engagements, providing journalists with official information, and helping to communicate important updates about the players, coaches, matches, training sessions and team activities.
She will also play a key role in the team’s digital and social media communication, helping to tell the Super Falcons’ stories, promote the team and its players, provide accurate match and camp updates, and improve the team’s visibility and connection with Nigerian football fans.
Brenda will work closely with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), coaching staff, players and accredited media to ensure that information about the Super Falcons is properly coordinated and communicated to the public. She begins her new assignment ahead of the Super Falcons’ 2028 Olympic qualifying campaign against Comoros, where her experience in sports broadcasting will be put to work as the team begins another important chapter.
Brenda is a graduate of Mass Communication from Rev. Fr. Moses Adasu University, Makurdi.
