On September 15, 2025, the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Embergera, has approved the appointment of additional principal staff to his office, effective immediately. This strategic move aims to enhance effective legislation, strengthen governance, and drive sustainable development across the state.
The newly appointed aides include Hon. Yondudu Edward, Barr. Antyu Joseph, Mr. Ugbaka Felix Ajene, Mr. Agbo Sylvester, and Mr. Louis Akile Augustine. According to Zape Michael Upaai, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, these appointments reflect the Speaker’s determination to bolster his office and improve the Assembly’s effectiveness in lawmaking and oversight.
“The appointments are part of the Speaker’s determination to enhance effective legislation, strengthen governance, and drive sustainable development across the state,” Upaai stated. He further quoted the Speaker urging the new appointees to leverage their experience, commitment, and dedication to excel in their roles, emphasizing that these positions are a call to service. “His leadership remains resolute in delivering on its mandate to transform Benue State for the benefit of all,” Upaai added.
