The Benue Motorcycle Association (BEMOA), Barakuv Branch, has officially thrown its weight behind Hon. Easy Mfater Terhemba as the preferred candidate for the Kwande East State Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was formally announced by the President General of the Barakuv Branch of BEMOA, Comrade Fidelis Tordue, who described Hon. Mfater as a credible, capable, and people-oriented leader with a proven track record and a clear vision for inclusive governance and sustainable development.
Comrade Tordue expressed strong confidence in Hon. Mfater’s ability to effectively represent the aspirations of the people of Kwande East. He highlighted the candidate’s potential to strengthen grassroots participation in governance, drive policies focused on youth empowerment, promote social cohesion, and stimulate economic growth across the constituency.
According to the BEMOA leader, the endorsement reflects the association’s belief in leadership that prioritises the welfare of the people and delivers tangible, community-level development. He emphasised that Hon. Mfater’s emergence enjoys broad support among commercial motorcyclists and transport stakeholders in the area, who see him as a champion capable of addressing their concerns and advancing their interests at the state assembly.
The Barakuv Branch of BEMOA, representing a significant segment of the transport sector in Kwande East, plays an influential role in community mobilisation and grassroots politics in the constituency. Its early backing is seen as a strategic boost for Hon. Mfater ahead of the 2027 polls.
The endorsement comes at a time when political alignments and coalitions are beginning to take shape across Benue State in preparation for the next election cycle. Observers note that support from key socio-economic groups such as BEMOA could prove decisive in determining the direction of the Kwande East race.
Hon. Easy Mfater Terhemba has yet to publicly respond to the endorsement, but sources close to him indicate that he appreciates the confidence reposed in him and remains committed to consultative engagement with all stakeholders in the constituency.
