In a display of personal philanthropy that has warmed hearts across Benue State, Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George, the newlywed wife of Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume, has made significant donations to support vulnerable groups still reeling from years of communal violence and displacement.

According to a widely shared social media post by community elder D’naked Elder Sughne, Queen Zaynab recently visited an IDP camp where she donated 10 million naira in cash, one cow, and food items valued at millions of naira to survivors in the Yelewata community—hard-hit by the devastating June 2025 attack that claimed over 150 lives and displaced thousands. The post described this as the first-ever individual donation of such magnitude in Benue State, highlighting its unprecedented impact on the affected families.

Not stopping there, Queen Zaynab extended her outreach to Gboko, providing fuel to Okada motorcycle riders—many of whom are grassroots transporters struggling amid economic hardships. Each bike reportedly went home with a full tank, an act playfully noted as enough “for 20000 bikes,” underscoring the scale and joy it brought to the commercial riders.

Her actions stand out as a personal commitment to welfare, aligning with her long-standing reputation as a humanitarian focused on women, children, and underserved populations.
