Engr. Andrew Aba, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 elections, has received royal blessings from the Och’Idoma, His Royal Majesty Agabaidu John Elaigwu, during a consultative visit to the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo, Benue South Senatorial District.

The paramount ruler prayed extensively for the aspirant, assuring him of continued spiritual guidance and expressing confidence that divine direction would produce the most suitable leader for Benue State. He advised Engr. Aba to conduct his political activities peacefully, shun violence or blackmail, and focus on issue-based campaigns.

In a notable highlight, the Och’Idoma introduced what he termed the “Three Cs” strategy—Cut, Curtail, and Contain—as special counsel to guide the aspirant during the preparatory phase of his ambition, emphasizing that such targeted advice had not been previously extended to any other contender.

The monarch expressed deep concern over persistent voter apathy in Benue South, revealing that while Agatu Local Government Area alone once recorded around 70,000 votes in past election cycles, the entire zone now struggles to reach 100,000 votes. He therefore urged residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and actively participate in upcoming polls, stressing that collective political action remains essential for securing meaningful representation and development.
