In a significant boost to rural infrastructure, the Benue State Government has initiated a collaborative program with local government council chairmen across all 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) to construct 5 kilometers of roads in each LGA. This grassroots-focused initiative aims to improve connectivity, facilitate the movement of agricultural produce, and enhance economic activities in rural communities statewide.

The program underscores the administration’s commitment to equitable development, ensuring that even remote areas benefit from improved road networks. By partnering directly with LGA chairmen, the project promotes local ownership and efficient implementation, allowing councils to identify priority routes that address the most pressing needs of their constituents.
