The immediate past Governor of Benue State and current leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Chief Samuel Ortom, today welcomed a series of visitors comprising families, friends, and prominent political associates to his Judges’ Quarters residence in Makurdi, the state capital.
Among the notable guests who engaged in interactive sessions with the former Governor were Alhaji Garba Baba, Chief Executive Officer of AGB Motors; Rt. Hon. Ralph Igbago, former Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly; and Mr. Friday Adodo.
Chief Ortom, who also serves as a member of the PDP Board of Trustees representing Benue State, held a closed-door meeting with Dr. Laha Dzever, Leader of PDP-G14; Chief Atsaga Anemba; and Dr. Iorwuese Ligom.
In a related development, the Nyamkyume I Tiv, a prominent socio-cultural group, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Otse Otokpa, former Chairman of Ado Local Government Area and former Special Adviser to the Governor.
Additionally, the families of Peter Akuse and Williams Agom interfaced with the former Governor during the series of engagements.
The visits underscore Chief Ortom’s continued influence and active engagement in political and communal affairs in Benue State, as he maintains close ties with party stalwarts, traditional leaders, and constituents even after leaving office. The interactions highlight ongoing consultations within the PDP fold and broader stakeholder engagements ahead of future political developments in the state.
