Tensions Rise in Benue as Fulani Group Accuses Youths of Deadly Attacks

A Fulani socio-cultural organization, Voice of Fulbe for Peace and Development, has accused youths in the Agatu West area of Agatu Local Government Council in Benue State of orchestrating a series of deadly attacks and large-scale cattle rustling targeting Fulani communities in Kogi State. The allegations were detailed in a communique signed by National President Hamman Gizo and Secretary Ardoi Ibrahim Yallo, released earlier today.

The statement described the attacks as unprovoked, blaming armed criminal youths for the deaths of community members and the loss of hundreds of cattle.
