The Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University of Agriculture, Makurdi (JOSTUM) is taking a significant step towards enhancing campus security with the installation of CCTV cameras, spearheaded by Zamo Transports. The project, announced by student Nyamili Zation, marks a new era of digital transformation for the university.
The initiative began when Zation, after completing his school schedules, received a call from the CEO of Zamo Transports—a personal friend and leader. The CEO invited him to witness the rollout of this innovative project. The installation involves placing CCTV cameras at strategic points across the campus, stretching from the South core to the North core, under the supervision of the university’s security department.
This project is poised to complement existing security efforts, providing an additional layer of protection for students’ lives and properties. The cameras aim to enhance surveillance and ensure a safer environment for the university community. Zation expressed enthusiasm, stating, “This is indeed a great project because it will also help to complement the existed efforts of our security systems in the University, towards the protection of students lives and properties on campus.”
Images shared by Zation depict the installation process, including workers setting up equipment and a close-up of a camera unit on the ground, signaling the project’s active progress. The collaboration between Zamo Transports and JOSTUM highlights a commitment to leveraging technology for safety and security.
As the installation continues, the university community eagerly anticipates the positive impact of this digital upgrade. Nyamili Zation concluded with a heartfelt note, “Nyamili Zation cares…!!!”
Stay tuned for more updates on this transformative project at JOSTUM.
