Corps Member from Benue Kidnapped En Route to NYSC Orientation Camp in Ondo

A National Youth Service Corps member, Ibi Bemdoo Philip, a graduate of Mass Communication from Benue State University, Makurdi, has been kidnapped along with others while travelling to his orientation camp in Ondo State.

Philip left Benue State about two days ago via Benue Links Nig. Ltd for the NYSC orientation exercise. He became unreachable shortly after the journey began. On Friday morning, he managed to contact his course representative through the kidnappers’ phone, confirming that he and others had been abducted. The abductors are reportedly demanding a ransom of ₦50 million.

Family, friends and colleagues have appealed to the Federal Government, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Army and other relevant security agencies to intervene urgently and secure the safe release of Philip and the other victims.
