Governor Alia Assists Woman with Wheelchair During Brief Stopover in Makurdi

Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia on Thursday made a brief stopover at the high-level underpass in Makurdi where he encountered a woman struggling with a defective wheelchair.

Moved by her situation, the governor directed that a new wheelchair be provided for her and also offered her financial support. The gesture took place in the presence of officials and supporters, including North Central Zonal Special Leader Hon. David Aondofa.

Photographs from the scene show the governor interacting closely with the woman amid a gathering of residents and security personnel. The unscheduled stop has been widely shared on social media as an example of direct engagement with citizens facing daily challenges.
