Senator Abba Moro Condemns Destruction of Campaign Billboards in Benue South

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro, PhD, has expressed sadness over the destruction of campaign billboards in parts of the senatorial district.

Senator Moro described the politically instigated destruction as unfortunate and highly condemnable. He noted that Zone C is already tensed because of the security challenges plaguing the area and appealed to political actors to guard their supporters against acts and utterances capable of unnecessarily heating up the polity, thereby making the land more vulnerable to attacks by external aggressors.

The senator stressed that election is not a do-or-die affair and enjoined his constituents to embrace peace and tolerance irrespective of political differences. He insisted that political violence is alien to Zone C and urged for issue-based campaigns devoid of violence, anarchy, hate and character assassination in order to ensure peaceful elections and preserve relationships.
