Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has congratulated the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Alfred Aondover Emberga, on the occasion of his 39th birthday. In a letter of felicitation dated Saturday, August 1, 2026, and signed by the governor himself, Alia commended the Speaker for promoting a cordial working relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government in the state.
The governor praised Emberga’s dedication to effective lawmaking and his support for policies that encourage good governance and improve the lives of the people of Benue. He noted that the Speaker’s commitment to maintaining a collaborative relationship with the executive had fostered legislative excellence and served as the bedrock for the developmental strides achieved in the state. Since assuming office as Speaker in August 2025, Emberga has provided steady leadership, maintained unity within the Assembly and supported programmes driving the state’s progress.
Governor Alia expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s wisdom, commitment and sense of responsibility in discharging his constitutional duties, while expressing confidence that he would continue to serve the state with dedication. He wished Emberga many more years of good health, God’s blessings and greater achievements in service to the people.
