The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 Benue State governorship election, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, on Monday held a strategic meeting with the party’s House of Assembly candidates from all 37 state constituencies.
The high-level engagement was convened to foster unity, strengthen collaboration among the candidates, familiarize them with one another, and harmonize strategies for the party’s success in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Chief Aondoakaa stressed the importance of presenting a united front, noting that victory can only be achieved through collective commitment, discipline, and purposeful leadership.
He charged the State Assembly candidates to immediately return to their respective constituencies and intensify grassroots mobilization. The former Attorney General of the Federation urged them to reconnect with the people at the ward and polling unit levels, strengthen the party’s structures, and remain visible and accessible to their constituents.
Chief Aondoakaa emphasized that the road to victory begins at the grassroots, encouraging every candidate to work diligently to earn the confidence and support of the people while promoting the ideals and vision of the PDP across Benue State.
Speaking on behalf of the candidates, Rt. Hon. Aondona Dajoh, alongside representatives of the three senatorial zones Hon. Bemgba Iortyom, Hon. Tersoo Gyila, and Rt. Hon. Egli Johnson reaffirmed their unalloyed commitment to the party’s victory. They urged one another not to relent or become complacent and assured Chief Aondoakaa of their resolve to remain united, work tirelessly in their constituencies, and do everything within their power to secure victory for the PDP at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
Other speakers at the occasion included Hon. Abrahams Kwaghngu and Hon. Terwase Iyusa.
The meeting underscores the PDP’s determination to build a strong and cohesive team ahead of the 2027 polls in Benue State.
