Police Arrest 10 Suspects in Connection with Killing of Miyetti Allah Chairman Ardo Risku in Benue

Benue State Police Command has announced the arrest of ten individuals in connection with the killing of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) Chairman, Ardo Risku, and his associate in Otukpo.

The suspects, arrested during a coordinated tactical operation on the night of June 27, 2026, following intensive intelligence gathering, are:

1. Titus Thyodenda, 25
2. Utibe Sam, 20
3. Owoicho Ameh, 18
4. Sunday Useni, 21
5. Sunday Ogbanje, 46
6. Daniel Raphael, 23
7. Adokole John, 24
8. Samuel Ogazi, 32
9. Agbo Daniel, 25
10. Onazi James, 30

Commissioner of Police, CP Cletus C.N. Nwadiogbu, commended the tactical teams and investigators for their swift response. He assured that investigations remain ongoing to identify and apprehend any other persons who may have been involved in the incident.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Udeme Edet, described the arrests as a major breakthrough in the investigation. The Command reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all those found culpable are prosecuted according to the law.
